The terms of booking and service

This document sets out what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you, when you book a table or buy a voucher.

Last updated: 31 May 2026

What does this cover?

Hospitality services at the restaurant, table bookings, gift vouchers and private events.

A booking request sent from this website is not yet a booking. The booking exists once we confirm it by email or by phone.

Prices and payment

The price of the tasting menu is shown on its own page, applies per person and includes service. À la carte prices are given in the room, because the selection moves with the season.

You can pay on site in cash or by card. Gift vouchers and private events are invoiced and paid by bank transfer.

Cancellation and changes

[PLACEHOLDER] The cancellation deadline and its consequences go here. The intake did not include this, so the restaurant needs to decide and fill it in.

You can change a booking up to the cancellation deadline, by phone or by email.

Gift vouchers

The voucher is issued once payment arrives, by email and on request in print. Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.

[PLACEHOLDER] The validity period and the rules on partial use go here.

Dietary needs and allergies

We can adapt the tasting menu to gluten free and other needs if you tell us when you book. Some courses have to be rethought in advance, so a last minute request cannot always be met.

No ingredient of animal origin is used in the kitchen. We cannot take full responsibility for trace allergens along the supply chain, so if you have a serious allergy please talk it through with us when booking.

Liability

We are liable for our service under Hungarian law. We are not liable for loss arising from incomplete or incorrect information given by the guest, for example an allergy that was not declared.

Course descriptions on this website are indicative, because the menu changes with the season.

Complaints

You can raise a complaint on site, by calling +36 1 555 4433 or by writing to reservation@aurabudapest.hu. We answer written complaints within thirty days.

If our answer does not satisfy you, you can turn to the conciliation board for your area. In Budapest this is the Budapest Conciliation Board (1016 Budapest, Krisztina krt. 99).

Governing law

Hungarian law applies to the contract, in particular the Civil Code and consumer protection legislation.
